Road kill

Despite releasing 20 hedgehogs near a very busy road, not one of mine were run over (this was a resident male hedgehog). This is slightly strange as when I radio-tracked 12 hedegehogs in Devon, 2 were killed on the quietest of roads. Possibly busy roads just put off hedgehogs from coming to close - though one of mine crossed a busy road at least eight times.
