Okay – this is pushing it as a book, it was a report
I wrote for the Development Charity Practical Action –
but it is a very important subject, looking at a largely
ignored threat to the life and health of millions
of people living in the poorest countries of the world.

Before I started the research I had no idea that the
fourth biggest killer in these countries was the
smoke from cooking fires – affecting mainly women
and children and killing over 1.5 million people
each year.
